Eric, in your review of “The Life of David Gale:”

Actually, it is not Bitsey who says “Coincidences are always weird. That’s why they’re coincidences.” That’s Gabriel Mann’s character, Zack Stemmons (the intern.)

Just thought I’d point that out.

(Not that it matters. I don’t think many people saw “The Life of David Gale,” and the ones who did probably don’t remember.)

I’m in my mid-40s and get high to go see movies. Small popcorn, small coke, perhaps Raisenets. Sushi would be extremely cool. A little 5 pack for $5-$6 would be reasonable.

I don’t rant and rave during the shows though. Heck, I even do the furtive popcorn kernals at cell phone users thing. Chair kickers get the “turn around and look” after the second kick. After the third kick it’s either move or escalate.

Perhaps if I get on of those nifty cell phone jammers. That would be fun.

The problem with making mistakes like that is when one is caught, I have to fix it not just here but on the other two sites that run my reviews (DVDTalk.com and HollywoodB****slap.com/EFilmCritic.com). Having a copy editor to catch these things is the one thing I miss about working at a daily newspaper.

I got cussed out in a theater one time by a loud and aggressive person in the back when I asked him to shush. Perhaps he too was high. Heck, people being high in movie theaters could explain a lot of things.
