I've long said that "Park City" is an ironic name, at least during Sundance, as there is no parking. And while I think it would be beneficial for everyone to have more venues in Salt Lake City, I had a fine time this year. I had a friend come out from New York City, we had no tickets, we waitlisted (and got into) every movie we wanted to see, and had no parking issues. They raised the prices only for advance purchase of tickets. Prices at the door are still only $10, in the hopes that people will discover films they might not have otherwise seen (which is how I saw "Blame it on Fidel", which turned out to be my favorite one I saw this year). And with all the public transportation, it's cheap and convenient for locals to get to screenings. I think the big burden is for out-of-towners who can't get a hotel in Park City, so, again, more action in Salt Lake would benefit everyone. (And more in Ogden would be really great too!)

But even fatigued, Eric managed to correctly say "All of which demands the question" instead of "All of which begs the question." It was like a cool, refreshing breeze had blown right out of my computer. Thank you, Eric.

Wow... Eric must be really tired, considering the unprecedented first-sentence typo.

Who do we have to lobby to get Sundance moved to Salt Lake? It would be so much easier for me to forget to attend any screenings if it were closer.
