Sam Raimi is supposed to be doing a movie adaption of the Terry Pratchett book “The Wee Free Men,” but I haven’t heard anything about when (and the info on that was from Pratchett himself, so I think it’s reliable).

“Director Sam Raimi has confirmed that Sony intends to produce at least three more Spider-Man films after Spider-Man 3, and Columbia Pictures has hired screenwriter David Koepp to write the script for a fourth Spider-Man film.”

Okay. Loaded into my podcatcher (don’t do itunes, but I got the drift), and it seems to be working okay. Haven’t tried shoving a mixed RSS feed into a podcatcher before, but, once you mentioned it, it makes sense that it would work.

OK, I guess I should be fair and give you a BASIC yea or nay on the movie. It’s a yea. It will definitely be a positive review. How positive, I’m not tellin’.

I am told that we’re allowed to print our reviews on Thursday, May 3, though — a whole day early!! So for that we must thank our friends at Sony. I’ll try to post it at 12:01 a.m. May 3.

Aargh! So jealous! TWO weeks early?!

P.S. Rumor has it Sam Raimi is looking at a different project after this one, and if that’s the case Kirsten Dunst isn’t coming back, (not that I really like most of her work, but I think she does fine as Mary Jane), and Tobey Maguire’s leaning pretty much the same way, so I think the idea of a 4th movie is kind of up in the air right now.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***

An advance “spy” review said that while he supposes it’s possible that Venom will return for Part 4 (if they even make one), he wouldn’t have to. His storyline is pretty much “dealt with” by the end of Part 3.

Which makes me a bit sad. Venom could easily be the main villain of a Spider-man movie all by himself. Him and Carnage.
