As I recall, Eric and his scene partner did fine; it was another actor's performance that bothered me. Oh, and that production of Midsummer was a good one. Or, there was "Midsummer Night's Dream" where the wonderfully talented Jenna Valentine Clark (I think?) played Titania, and Eric played a rather youthful-seeming older king who blinked a lot--if THAT'S what you're referring to, I kind of see your point.
