The weekend is gone, but there is still a reason to live: a new “Snide Remarks” column, entitled “Getting Tested,” with its corresponding podcast (which you can also listen to on the page itself).

This weekend was Portland’s 100th annual Rose Parade, or something. Apparently it’s a big deal. I didn’t go because I hate parades, and also because it was raining, and also because at the exact time the parade was starting I had to watch the new “Nancy Drew” movie. I do love Portland; I just don’t support its many, many parades.

I did, however, manage to see and review “Hostel Part II.” I do not recommend that you do the same.
