His treatment to Titan AE was crap. Buffy and Angel were crap. The Serenity movie was mediocre, at best. Pretty amateurish for a wide release. The characters, acting and concept are great but the series is mostly filler episodes and suffers from poor writing. Other than the pilot (which gets an A- in my book), the standout episode is "Ariel" and "Out Of Gas", the rest is fairly take-it-or-leave-it. Yes, I am one. I'm glad you liked the pilot episode, and while I liked the film just fine, I do agree the pilot is better. And I think you'll enjoy the episodes more seeing them in order.
