A couple of gay (meaning merry and fun) links
What do Wayne Newton, Tony Curtis, and Clay Aiken have in common? Behold: Men Who Look Like Old Lesbians.
And below, fictional presidential candidate Kim McFriendly, a former Republican senator from the state of Heartland, offers her defense of Sen. Larry Craig in a CNN parody. (If you watch it and don’t get the joke, that means you somehow missed seeing this video a couple months ago.)

I was so afraid I wouldn’t get the joke, because…well, because I’m old and stuff. But I did, and I thought Senator McFriendly was hilarious.

I’m a little confused by this. Did CNN actually have her on TV?

No. It’s fairly easy to plug in a fake video into the real one when the first commentator doesn’t actually use any names or introductions of any sort. It’s just a parody.
I found it amusing. Good on them.

I get the joke, but it really isn’t very funny. Maybe if she had been clever instead of just stumbling over her words in allusion. The original was more painful than funny so that may be clouding my judgment.
