Thanks for the data! I was just going to agree that it had become freakishly cold here the past few days, not do actual research. Are the temperatures for Salt Lake City, or Park City?

"And so I arrived in Park City at around 5 p.m., with time enough to...complain bitterly that it is colder than usual. I think I make this observation every year, but I really do think the temperature is lower than it has been in years past. Are you a weather historian with access to hard data that can prove me wrong? Then shut up."

Your temperature sensing abilities seem to be pretty good. This year it was colder on opening day at 5 PM than previous years (excluding 2006 & 2007, for which I couldn’t find data).

Maybe if the film critic thing doesn’t work out you could try being a weather rock.

Hard Data with Inconvenient Holes:

It sounds almost like being at our house, where we put you on either a futon with a thin mattress and a metal frame underneath, or a foam futon about 24" wide on the dining room floor, or a leaky air mattress.

I'm sorry that you have to stay at the Yarrow. Even the suites at that hotel are kind of ghetto.
