Wow - I was surprised to read that Eric walked out of a movie. Is this the first one? I don't recall reading about this happening before, but if it has, it would be great to compile a list of ultra-horrible movies that Eric walked out of...

You already know I'm you're biggest fan, but this batch of diary entries is the best one yet. Or the funniest, anyway. That's a bigger compliment anyway.

Also, I didn't sign any release forms from you, and therefore you can expect to be contacted by my lawyer within the hour. How dare you.

Eric's notes on "The Rambler": "and on a whole the short was one of the strangest things I've ever seen in my life. And as a nine-year Sundance veteran, that's saying a lot."

After reading that, I knew who had to have been behind this. A line like that could only describe the films that come from one person--I imdb'd to double-check, and yep, sure enough, that short was directed by, written by, and stars my very own first cousin, Lee Reeder. (We knew him by his middle name, Lee, growing up; apparently, he uses his first name, Calvin, now, as is registered on imdb).

I've looked up a few other shorts of his on the internet from time to time (though I haven't seen this one). I'm sure Eric would find them at least as--to use his adjective-- "strange" as this one. Let's just say they're not the sort of films you would necessarily show to Grandma (at least not our Grandmother).

While they're not films I would endorse, I am happy to see that he's seeing some success, and he's still my cousin, and I still love him.

"Savvy Sundance veterans" HA. That's almost my name.

Unfortunately, my friend explained what a donkey-punch is to me the other day. Not good times.
