Do you have to get your hand stamped to re-enter?

My friends Ken and Katie recently took their many children to Disney World, where they met up with other friends for several days of merriment. Ken wrote about it in his blog. He included photos. One of them is below. (You can click it for a larger version.) Look at the sign behind them, partially obscured by Ken’s head. What do you suppose they charge for admission at that place?

It’s the elephant that makes it truly special…

You know, nothing can take away how adorable those kids are….LOL!

  3. Lowdogg Says:

    It is at least $60/piece,

This seems like as good a time as ever to mention when the ‘G’ burned out on the Black Angus Steakhouse sign here in Provo. I should have taken a picture.

You guys get all the good signs. The best one we have around here is when the E burns out on the Price Chopper sign. (I guess it does get bonus points for the logo of an axe cutting into a big round thing.)

Would that be like taking a picture at In-N-Out Burger when the B and the last R have burned out? I don’t have one of those but I do have one of my mission comp covering both letters…

  7. Kourtney Says:

I don’t think it’s your hand that gets stamped for re-entry into this particular Kingdom…

  8. Chris Says:

I saw a Taco Bell sign that, at one point, said “Now Hiring Closers”. Unfortunately, the “C” fell off.

Late 80’s, local COUNTY MARKET grocery, huge illuminated sign, and you can probably guess which letter burned out.

Our favorite was when the sign for the Men’s Wearhouse in Orem had some burned out lights–the M, E, and N. Doesn’t help that it is all capital letters.

We still call it the Swearhouse.

“Anal Kingdom? I thought they closed that place down!”

At the Borders store here in Annapolis, there is a sign in the bathroom that reads “Please Wash Hands.” Someone took a black marker and edited the sign to read “Please Vash Hans,” which is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

Looks like someone did, Savvy Veteran. Or the same thing happened at another one: imagechan.com/img/img.php?id=3383

When I was a kid in the 80’s, the ‘S’ at a local Shell station burned out, and it seemed they took forever to fix it.

I was serving in Kwangju (S. Korea) in 1995, which included Cho-Seon University. They had “Cho-Seon University Museum of Art” in English on a sign above the entrance to their art museum. The first “C” had fallen off, as did the “O” from “of.” Obviously, it was mandatory for every American missionary who served anywhere near Kwangju to take a picture under this sign.

  16. Aaron Says:

In the hospital were I work, there are Domestic Violence fliers in every bathroom. The plastic holder states, “NO ONE DESERVES TO BE BEATEN.” Someone has cleverly scratched off the B.

  17. Bob Says:

In northern Idaho, where I grew up, there was a back road called “Estes Road”. Inevitably, each year during rush week for the local university, someone would add a “T” to the sign.

A girl in my Young Women’s program misread the Ross store as “Cross Dress For Less.”
