Much to my own embarrassment, I actually liked this movie when it first came out. My only excuse was I was seven years old, and the average seven-year-old is incapable of recognizing a bad movie when they see one (which explains the popularity of, among other things, High School Musical).

I’ve always liked “The Wrath of x” for an all-purpose sequel title. “Breakin’ II: The Wrath of Boogaloo Shrimp” would have been a movie worth seeing.

I always attach “with a Vengeance” to movie sequels. But I may have to start using “Cruise Control”. It has a nice ring to it.

Ah, so this is the fabled source of the “Electric Boogaloo” that Eric is so fond of attaching to various sequels. In a similar vein, my friends and I used to use “Cruise Control” for bad sequels. It works for all kinds of things: Superman 2: Cruise Control; Star Wars: Episode II: Cruise Control; and so on.

Also, one of my former roommates had both Breakin’ movies. I’m glad I never let him talk me into watching them.

“if a hundred people came lurching convulsively toward me on a city street, I would make electric boogaloo in my pants” made me giggle like a schoolgirl. Also, the names of the “other famous breakdancers”. Hilarious!
