Agreed... leo ex machina is just too perfect. I was surprised that I kind of enjoyed Prince Caspian; I'm not really a fan of the books, but at least I wasn't bored to tears.

However, the theater crowd we saw it in was among the absolute worst I've ever had the misfortune to experience, from crying triplet babies to people arguing over telling the babies to shut up to the appearance of real security guards to some kid who felt the need to add his own running commentary. I admit I entered the fray by yelling loudly for all to shut up... it's just gotten so bad these days that I pretty much shun action flicks entirely because of this very reason. If Eric hasn't done one yet, I think he should do a Snide Remarks on movie theater audiences. I seem to remember one from long ago about chatty play audiences.

Nobody likes Son of Rambow as much as you do, Eric. Just as nobody liked Waitress as much either.

I don't know. I took my 10 yr old & 5 yr old nephews to the movie today & none of the kids seemed too disturbed by the violence. My nephews both thought it was cool....& I developed myself a little crush on Caspian!! I agree that it was better done than the first one, and most of the kids in the theater seemed to be able to sit through the length without too much difficulty.

Thank you for your comments on the rating of Prince Caspian. I have some sensitive little people who wouldn't appretiate that much violence. The LW&W was plenty violent for them.

I too am newly in love with that phrase. If only there were more situations where it could be used.
