Thank heaven they redeemed the franchise with Last Crusade, which in my humble opinion, is the best of them all. My dad drives us crazy by quoting (wrongly) "Kali Maa! Kali Maa! Shut de door! Shut de door!" The grandkids love it because they don't have a clue what he's talking about! I agree that Kate Capshaw was horrible, but the whole movie just was badly done. Although we can still make my sister get grossed out by talking about the monkey brains....... Oh I so hated Temple of Doom!!! Not only because of Kate Capshaw's annoying-ness, but also because of the little Asian kid, who is at least as annoying, although I must admit, sometimes he is funny. For most of the film I find myself wishing that Indiana would just let Kate Capshaw die at the end. I totally agree with you about Temple of Doom.
