Both started at 100% for a week or so, then dove about 10% to a respectable high 80s score when the people who weren't enthusiastic enough to see it a week before it opened started to post their reviews. Either way, the superhero film seems to have progressed quite a bit since the likes of Spider-man, which I loved when it came out but now seems a little clunky and childish. Spider-man 2 stresses me out - being late for things and disappointing people is stressful in <em>real</em> life. Three (and, if Dark Knight is anything like people are saying, four) hero movies this year are better than anything we could have imagined a few years ago, even <em>with</em> good-to-great Spider-man and X-Men movies being released. You know incorrectly. I make a point of <em>not</em> reading any reviews before I write mine.
