Rudimentary element of EricDSnider.com finally fixed
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008For years we’ve had a “Search” feature on the site, way up at the very top of the page, and I believe it actually worked for a while. But then it didn’t, or at least not very well, and you’d search for something you knew was here somewhere and get zero hits.
Now, at last, we have fixed it, integrating it with Google’s space-age searching technology. It was one of those projects that took two years and ten minutes to complete: two years to put it off, and ten minutes to actually do it. So search our content to your heart’s content!
(Note that the search box to the immediate right of this entry only searches this blog. I’m talking about the other search box, at the top of the page. That’s the one that’ll search all of EricDSnider.com, including the blog.)
NOTE FROM ERIC’S BROTHER: I have removed the search box to the immediate right of this entry, because for real, if we have a search function that properly searches the entire site, we don’t really need a blog-only search.
NOTE FROM ERIC: That’s true, good thinking. I should have thought of that. I guess that’s why I pay you the big bucks. How are Lindsay and Logan? Tell them I said hi.
