I'd never heard of them before at that time, but they were AWESOME. Their live shows are really, really funny and energetic. Unfortunately, their album isn't quite as awesome. It's pretty good, but live they are amazing! I really loved their rendition of "Just a Friend" (Oh SNAP!) and now Mr. D is walking around singing it. :D Also, they have funny little youtube videos... like <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWe4YKfb7QI" rel="nofollow">"Enchirito"</a>. We watched that at least 30 times when we first discovered it. Their "what you don't know" videos, like <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBFQssLOn94" rel="nofollow">"Dancing"</a> are fairly funny too. I love Tally Hall, I would totally go see them in concert again. Watch some of the live concerts on youtube, you'll love it! Whereas a band like BNL does that kind of thing a little more naturally. Like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNgyFJOzbs4 There's some tremendously creative stuff going on, both musically and in the video, but it's also a little disjointed and not as memorable as say, 80's era Yes, which it kind of mimics. Still, they are definitely very talented and unusual and that alone has made them a current favorite of mine, too.
