Anyway, yeah, Seagal’s first five movies were a lot of fun, but On Deadly Ground is transcendent in its awfulness.

If you need another Stallone movie, and god knows why you would. I recommend Cobra. If you need some Segal movies to balance out the Van Damme/Stallone ones, On Deadly Ground, The Glimmer Man, and Fire Down Below are all spectacularly aweful. His previous work is bad too, but it’s just generically bad 80s action movies, nothing compared to the insanity of his later work when he plays various takes on a butt-kicking pacifist Buddist.

I don’t necessarily expect anyone to do any research. But if you’re obviously ignoring the guidelines I mentioned by naming films released in 2008, or TV movies, or films that everyone knows are generally considered good, then yeah, I have to wonder if you’re typing just to hear yourself type.

People may be thinking that your rule of not having reviewed it before only applies to Eric’s Bad Movies. They don’t see it on THAT list so they make their recommendation for a movie that came out last year that you reviewed. I don’t know HOW they think this but they do.

Every time Eric asks for suggestions it amazes me at what people request. I am amazed. Not angry or frustrated, but stupefied.

It’s really quite the social experiment.

Seriously people, try checking the archives or using the search function on this site before belting out a suggestion. As for my suggestion: Street Fighter. It’s a thwofer, a Van Damme movie and a video game movie.
