I don’t understand the uproar about Obama’s Special Olympics joke. Everyone knows retarded people ARE terrible at bowling. I mean, come on.
@DawnTaylor666 I had to train myself to ignore those e-mails. Life is so much happier now….
@DawnTaylor666 See, your mistake was reading the comments. No good ever comes from that.
“I Love You, Man,” which opened the South By Southwest Film Festival last week and opens theatrically today, is a fine addition to the raucous R-rated-comedy genre. I have reviewed it for Film.com.
The other two wide releases, “Duplicity” and “Knowing,” were duly screened for critics, but I was in Austin and couldn’t attend. (Even if I’d been home I couldn’t have seen both of them: They screened on the same night in Portland, thanks to a game of scheduling chicken between the two agencies handling the films.) I promise to catch both of those, as well as last week’s “Last House on the Left,” in the coming week. Everything should be back to normal by next Friday.

My last SXSW is also one of the best: “My Suicide” (the movie, not the event).
Eric’s Bad Movies at Film.com: “Shanghai Surprise”: http://tinyurl.com/cqdrpj
This week’s slightly belated edition of Eric’s Bad Movies at Film.com addresses something that I have heretofore been quiet about: Madonna’s film career. The subject is “Shanghai Surprise.” The co-star is Sean Penn. The result is boring.
After the 1st few days, when I saw him everywhere, I have not seen @rejects at SXSW at all. YOU CAN’T HIDE FROM ME, MILLER! (J/K, you can.)
*You got your Brewster in my McCracken!* *No, you got your McCracken in my Brewster!*
