"Into The Night" by Benny Mardones is not about a child molester who is interested in a 16 year old. In fact, it was Benny who said to his songwriting partner about the girl it was written about "She's 16...leave her alone." I know this because the story is out there...Benny has told it numerous times and the true story of the song isn't even romantic. Benny Mardones is also a very dear friend of mine...trust me...he is a wonderful man.
