You are soooooooooo awesome to post this in it’s entirety.
I loved the show, I thought he was great! A+ He said it like it is..

It’s better to say something in front of one face, then behind your back,
and the people he talked about if they lived in truth, well, it’s really no one’s
business a celebs private life, but when they massively “mess” up in public,
and cops are called, etc, etc, etc., well, Joe Public gets tired of the same old
overpaid actors/actresses that dont know how to behave with money in their pocket…Save it for a rainy day..

gahly, part of the agreement between Gervais and the HFP was that they didn’t get to see what he was going to say before he said it. So it was all very much a surprise to them. However, his approach shouldn’t have been. He even said many times that the very fact that they invited him back meant he hadn’t gone far enough last year. As Ricky said, if they think that was bad, they obviously don’t watch his stand-up.

Personally, I think the jokes were hilarious. Now I wish I’d actually bothered to watch them live instead of on youtube. I think most average folks feel this way–only a few offended-by-proxy idiots don’t. And frankly, the only person I didn’t see laughing in the audience was Depp, and honestly I don’t recall him ever laughing at anything, ever, so where’s the comparison, you know?

Being a Brit, I don’t understand the uproar about Gervais’ humour. We like to mock celebrities in this fashion on a regular basis! If you hire Ricky, that’s what you get.

Loved it! I’m not sure why everybody is complaining now, I’m sure he had to show them a draft and then let them see the rehersal, were they not paying attention?
