Ben wants to change his image, and he decides to get an earring, after considering developing a tic, or getting allergies, or dressing like a pirate and calling everyone "Captain." He doesn't go through with the earring thing, though (it was at a place called Bloody Ears, from Dr. Festerpus). Katz says, "Do you want my honest opinion?" and Ben says, "Is that the one where my feelings get hurt?" Katz likes the old Ben just fine.
