Katz gets a phone call from Sharon Meyers, a woman he dated briefly two years ago, when she was also his patient. She was very attractive, and a dancer ("She was a Rockette. She can kick her own face," Ben says). Katz cancels a movie date with Ben so he can have a drink with Sharon ("Did you mess with her head?" "A little"). He comes home late, which upsets Ben, but he's do apathetic to do anything about it ("You're too lazy to arrest your own father"). Note: The first episode with no scenes in the bar with Stan and Julie.
- Al Franken: Spends most of his time trying to schedule an appointment with Katz, because their schedules conflict so much.
- Bobby Slayton: Talks really fast; does voice exercises; wife asks, "Does this make me look fat?"; the answer is "No, your fat butt makes you look fat. Why are you blaming the pants?"; candlelight dinners, can't see the food; talks so fast he has spare time at the end of the day.
- Todd Barry: Worked as a substitute teacher in New York; they call you at 6 a.m. to see if you want to work, and you can say no; alma mater will keep bugging you; finally told his college he's a child pornographer ("They were so disappointed, they didn't call me for two days"); hidden charges in prostitution ("$100 for sex, and $50 for rust-proofing?"); saw a guy masturbating at an ATM in New York; friend has a bed way up high on a loft; sleeps on a futon: "In the day it's an uncomfortable couch; at night, it's an even more uncomfortable bed."
