The freaky life of a celebrity

Here is a picture of Jake Gyllenhaal and his girlfriend, Reese Witherspoon. Note that just above Reese’s head is a magazine with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, on the cover.

Discussion question: What if you were out shopping with your new boyfriend and you saw a magazine cover with your ex-husband’s face plastered all over it, staring out at you? How freaky would that be?

You get used to it. I know I did.

…and then you realize your current boyfriend is using crutches and has unnecessary letters in his last name.

How do we know this wasn’t Photoshopped?

  4. whome Says:

I think the freaky thing is that people are taking pictures of you whenever you go out to the store.

  5. card Says:

I think it would be interesting to see how they photoshopped my ex’s face on the cover of the magazine.

  6. tern Says:

That would be extra freaky, ‘cuz I’m a guy and I don’t swing that way.

  7. Lin Says:

No one has pointed out that she seems to be looking at the magazine cover with her ex’s face on it and he seems to be purposefully avoiding looking at it. Awkward.

  8. Brian Says:

I agree with whome. It’s the whole people-following-me-around-taking-pictures-all-the-time thing that would freak me out.

  9. Brian Says:

Wow. The formatting on that comment turned out pretty freaky. No more nine word phrases separated by dashes for me.

  10. Randy Tayler Says:

    How freaky? About a 7.

Freaky enough that sooner or later there’ll be a cute rom-com movie with exactly that incident in it.
