Eric’s Bad Movies: ‘The Beautician and the Beast’

This week’s bad movie is a throwback to the days when people tolerated Fran Drescher. It’s called “Beautician and the Beast.” Enjoy.

I’m in New York now until Wednesday, taking a little vacation and seein’ shows and crap. There will be no “Snide Remarks” on Monday, but tomorrow’s (tonight’s?) “In the Dark” should be on its regular schedule. Other blogging will be at a minimum.

“watching them kiss is like watching Borat kiss a seal” caught me off guard, and I nearly busted a gut.

I saw “BatB” but I have no recollection of it. One would assume if it makes your “Bad Movies” list and one has seen the movie, one would remember it.

    One doesn’t

I thought it was some kind of movie about makeovers, when I saw the title. Way to ripoff the title of one of the best Disney movies ever, movie. The King and I comparison sounds right on the money. There isn’t a ballroom dance sequence in this movie too, is there?

Well, the story “Beauty and the Beast” was around long before Disney adapted it into a movie.

I never understood how “The Nanny” kept getting renewed year after year. It always felt like one of those quickly-forgotten sitcoms that gets canceled before the middle of the first season.

By the way, Eric, do you have back-up movies to watch in case you view one for your bad movie column and you find–to your surprise–that you actually like it?
