Those of you who watch a lot of reality TV may find this montage amusing. Those of you who don’t watch a lot of reality TV may be reminded of why you don’t.

This is just one example of why I hate reality shows (there are many of them)–after a while, everything just becomes a cliche. I imagine one could build a montage of reality show contestants saying some variation of “I don’t trust anyone” (I admit, I do occasionally watch “The Mole” and I swear someone says it atleast once per episode).

Or every time someone forms an alliance of some sort.

Perhaps just as ubiquitous is the phrase “this competition”, which makes me want to impale myself (on a sharp pile of reality tv cliches).

I’m totally gonna try out for Survivor just to make friends.

I’d love to see a montage of all the overdrawn dramatic & suspenseful moments just before going to commercial.

When my friend showed this to me a couple of days ago I decided I should get on a reality show, be in a really great mood the entire time, chatting with everyone, and at one point cheerfully say that I’m not here to make friends.

I freely admit that I am a reality TV junkie/whore/whatever. The one phrase I cannot stand to hear when it is uttered is “And then there were (# of how many people are left).” It grates on my last nerve.
The video made me laugh more with each “I’m not here to make friends.”
When I say I’m a reality TV junkie/whore, I mean that I have never watched one episode of Survivor, Big Brother, Bachelor/Bachelorette, The Mole, The Amazing Race, and probably some other stuff. (If it’s on the major networks, I ain’t seen it.) No. I only watch everything on Bravo, anything that has to do with The Real World, Rock of Love, Shot of Love, Flavor of Love, I Love Money, Living Lohan, Denise Richards (colon) It’s Complicated, etc. I’ve got STANDARDS! And I am SUPER!SAD! that I did not catch Groomer Has It because the clips they showed on The Soup were spectacular!
