Literal interpretation of a music video

Remember music videos? And remember how they often had nothing to do with the songs’ lyrics? Here, courtesy of Funny Or Die, someone has taken A-ha’s famous video for “Take on Me” and rewritten the lyrics to match the video.

Now they need to do “Money For Nothing“, “All I Need Is a Miracle“, and please, PLEASE do “Something About You“.

Stay the Night” wouldn’t be a bad choice, either.

For comparison you ought to look at Love is Watching Someone Die. I’ve got the video and the interpretation of the coda at my blog right now as the top post. After my wife made me watch them I decided they were worth sharing.

Pure freakin’ genius!!!! I loved that video when I was 16, & had a major crush on the keyboardist, (whose name was Maggs, in case you’re interested…) but this was even better!!!

    (Sorry–I had to do it.)

That was the funniest thing I’ve seen/heard all day.

    Thanks, Eric!

    Hey Stephen M (Ethesis)-
Maybe a humor website isn’t the most appropriate place to pimp the insanely depressing video on your blog! :-P I’m just sayin’…

    That said, DCFC rules!
