@devincf Oh, good point. WHY ARE YOU SUCH A JERK, WEINBERG?!!!?
@devincf WHY ARE YOU SUCH A JERK, FARACI?!!!?
@devincf But he DID share it. He shared that the films will be announced today or tomorrow. “I already know what they are” wasn’t implied.
@ranielle “Underrated” is OK. It’s more easygoing– “Hey, guys, check out this film you might have overlooked!” It’s less know-it-all-ish.
Whew! Welcome back from the long Valentine’s Day/Presidents Day weekend! I hope you enjoyed your romantic evenings/sober reflections on the majesty of our republic. I know I did!
Catching up on stuff: Here’s this week’s “Snide Remarks,” entitled “PETA, PETA, Kitten Eater,” which as you can see features our favorite SR subject.
And here’s this week’s edition of Eric’s Time Capsule at Film.com — “9 1/2 Weeks,” released 23 years ago this Saturday. It stars Mickey Rourke, who could collect an Oscar on Sunday. He’s virtually unrecognizable from the way he looked in “9 1/2 Weeks.” But then again, aren’t we all?
And hey, what with traveling back from Oxford and everything, I neglected to provide a link to LAST week’s Eric’s Time Capsule! It was “Cruising,” released in 1980. Apparently Eric’s Time Capsule is focusing on salacious, mediocre films from yesteryear.
This week’s “Snide Remarks,” including the audio version, is here.
The audio version (i.e., the podcast) is also here.

“Overrated” is an annoying term. All it means is “other people like this more than I do.” Yeah, well — so what?
@jenyamato Ha! That was the first thing I thought, too! Wouldn’t that be something?
RT @devincf: A future serial killer, ladies and gentlemen! Someone better stop him now. http://www.kenny-glenn.net/
@erickohn Sorry, I think that was meant for me.
Fun with calendars: Jan. 1 of a new century will never fall on a Sunday! http://tinyurl.com/cetoaj
