Comments & Reaction:

(See COMMENTS & REACTION after "The General Authorities Song" (original version) for more details.)

This version reflects changes made in the General Authorities during the October 1996 General Conference, and it was sung in the Garrens show the following Friday.

Note that Carlos Asay was given Emeritus status at this conference, but I couldn't bear to let him out of the song yet.

We were all very dismayed when Jorge Rojas was released, because "Jorge Rojas es muy bueno" had always gotten one of the biggest laughs of the song. And it's so fun to say! (Try it!) I had "Francisco Viñas es mi amigo" to replace it with, but it wasn't the same. Jorge Rojas, wherever you are, as far as the Garrens are concerned, you're STILL muy bueno.
