In honor of the new “Street Fighter” film coming to theaters this weekend, Eric’s Bad Movies at Film.com today addresses the first “Street Fighter” film, released in 1994, back before everyone had caught on to the fact that video-game-based movies are always terrible. It stars Jean-Claude Van Damme, though that’s the least of its problems.
I remember seeing this movie on my 8th birthday. It was either that or the live action Jungle Book movie that came out around the same time.
I just saw this movie yesterday at Wal-Mart for $14.00. Apparently, they are trying to cash in on the new Chun-Li movie, which looks like will suck.
Now that Eric has reviewed both Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, I would to see him contrast and compare the films.
Following on Adam’s post:
Compare and contrast? That is, list point-for-point which is stupider?
Hey Eric, why doesn’t Earnest Saves Christmas appear in the archives? FIT IT!!!!
… I meant to say fix it.
…..
“For you, the day Eric Snider graced your discount DVD rack was the most important day of your life.
But for me … it was Tuesday.”
speaking of movies, you write the [swear word] reviews ever.
