The philosophy of ‘Toy Story’

9

Here is a conversation I had with my 3-year-old niece Lindsay last week:

HER: Do you like Buzz Lightyear?
ME: Yes.
HER: Do you like Woody?
ME: Yes.
HER: Does Woody like you?
ME: Uh, yes, I think so.
HER: Does he make you funny?

I think she meant “Does he make you laugh?” I kind of like her version, though. Am I funny? And if I am, did Woody make me that way? These are deep questions.

(That’s Lindsay on the right. On the left is Emily, my 8-year-old niece, who is also adorable. That’s me in the middle, also adorable, but in a different way.)

  1. Ah! At last, the source of Eric’s humor is revealed. Who would have thought that it was because Eric was being manipulated by a doll all along :p.

  2. Can I just “awwww” over the kids? They’re so cute!! Not as cute as my neices though……but awfully cute!

I wondered where you’d gotten your humor from…….who knew it was from a little cowboy…..

  3. I said they were cute! Mine just happen to be slightly cuter…..like one tenth of one percent cuter. Do yours have attitude though? ‘Cause mine have enough attitude for the whole family!
